Jivantyadi Ghrita is a herbal medicated ghee formulation.
some manufacturers use ghee and sesame oil base together and manufactures this in the name of Jivantyadi yamaka.
Its usage:
Effect on Tridosha – Calms Kapha and Vata.
Dosage:
1/4-1/2tsf followed by warm water. On empty stomach once or as directed by doctor.
high dose, it may cause diarrhoea and indigestion.
Jivantyadi Ghritham Ingredients:
Jivanti – Leptadenia reticulata
water for decoction – 12.288 liters boiled and reduced to 3.072 liters
Ksheera – cow milk
Ghrita – ghee – 768 g
12 g of each of
Prapaundarika – Nymphea stellata
kakoli – Fritillaria roylei
Kshirakakoli – Lilium polyphyllum
Pippali – Piper longum – Long pepper
Lodhra – Symplocos racemosa
Saindhavalavana – Rock salt
Shatahva – Anethum sowa
Madhuka – Glycyrrhiza glabra
Draksha – Raisins
Sita – Sugar
Daruharidra – Berberis aristata
Triphala – Haritaki (Terminalia chebula), Vibhitaki (Terminalia bellirica) and Amalaki (Emblica officinalis)
The above combination is heated till herbal ghee is prepared.
